Upcoming Book Releases I am ~HYPED~ for
Hello Bookish People,
As you guys have probably figured out, I like to read. A lot. I sometimes read so fast and get my hands on new releases so quickly that I have to wait for the next book for what feels like ages! So today, to get rid of some of my bookish frustration I have compiled a list of books that I am expectantly awaiting and why I am just so excited for these books.
Shatter City – Scott Westerfield, releases 17th September
This one officially comes out in 8 (EIGHT!!!) days. Now, some of you may remember my review on Imposters from ages ago ( if not, here it is.). When I read it, I wasn’t aware that it would be part of a new Scott Westerfield series or that the next book would come out in about a year so when it finished on a cliffhanger that I I would have to wait a WHOLE YEAR for I was extremely disappointed. To not know the fate of my favourite characters for an entire year was pure torture. Anyway, I can assure you all that come September 17th I will be the first person at my local Dymocks and I will be ready to probably have my heart broken.
Weapon – Lynette Noni, releases 5th November
Now, here is where you will find that I don’t learn from my mistakes. I just randomly borrowed Whisper (you know the drill, here’s my review ) from my school library on a rainy day and I finished it in less than a day because I got addicted and because I have no self control. I absolutely adored Whisper and when the ending was sort of open ended my little heart just about had a meltdown. I ran to my trusty laptop and did as much research as possible but my research was futile because nothing and I mean nothing, came up as Weapon hadn’t even been announced. I know, the horror! I do have some good news though, November 5th is Cup Day and the day before is a curriculum day at my school which means two days free of responsibility so that I can read!! I am doing imaginary backflips about this, let me tell you.
Queen Of Nothing – Holly Black, releases 19th November
Here, we see some exciting character development on my part. I only recently read books 1&2 but that didn’t stop me from feeling utterly betrayed by the fact that I would still have to wait till the 19th of November which is pretty much forever away. I’ve been so invested in the other books over the last couple of days so the pain of having to wait is still pretty raw 🙁 . It is all good though because I have a brilliant plan involving myself and my bookstore and a very productive Tuesday afternoon.
There are probably a few more books that I am awaiting but these are the ones that I just can not sit still over. What new releases are you guys excited about?
